This blog is my attempt to share the things I love that make me who I am and who I want to be. I love being a mother and a wife and I want to be the type of person that feels every moment for what it is. To be that person I must remember to slow down, and focus, and dwell on all the good that surrounds us. Here, I hope to remind myself of that good.

Ephesians

God...
  • is our Father v1:2
  • is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ v1:3
  • blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ v1:3
  • chose us in Him before the foundation of the world v1:4
  • predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ v1:5
  • gave us redemption through His blood v1:7
  • forgives us of our trespasses v1:7
  • lavished the riches of His grace on us v1:8
  • made known to us the mystery of His will v1:9
  • gave us an inheritance v1:11
  • sealed us in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise v1:13
  • pledged our inheritance and made us His possession v1:14
  • exists among us v1:15
  • is the God of our Lord Jesus Christ v1:17
  • is the Father of Glory v1:17
  • brought the strength of His might about in Christ v1:19,20
  • raised Christ from the dead v1:20
  • seated Christ at His right hand in the heavenly places v1:20
  • is far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named v1:21
  • put all things in subjection under His feet v1:22
  • gave Him as head over all things to the church v1:22

For what reason did He do these things...
  • so that we would be holy and blameless before Him. v1:4
  • because it's according to the kind intention of His will v1:5
  • it's to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. v1:6
  • because it's according to the riches of His grace v1:7
  • because it's according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him v1:9
  • for the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and on the earth. v1:10
  • because we were predestined according to His purpose v1:11
  • for the praise of His glory. v1:14
  • because the church is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. v1:23

We must...
  • work all things after the counsel of His will v1:11
  • have hope in Christ so to be the praise of His glory v1:12
  • listen to the message of truth, the gospel of our salvation v1:13
  • believe v1:13
  • have faith in the Lord Jesus v1:15

Paul prays...
  • and does not cease giving thanks v1:16
  • mentions you in his prayers v1:16
  • prays for a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him v1:17
  • prays that the eyes of your heart be enlightened v1:18
  • so we will know what is the hope of His calling v1:18
  • so we will know what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance v1:18
  • so we will know what is the surpassing greatness of His power towards those who believe. v1:19
  • in accordance with the working of the strength of His might v1:19
